Hello Friends and Singers,
As we move close to the middle of December, I wish you all a Happy Holiday, and/or Merry Christmas, however you celebrate this time of year.
For me, the "Holiday" season usually begins after I give my final Christmas concert. In years past, that has meant a concert in Mexico as well as others in Canada. But this year my beau, John and I will stay put in Montreal. There are so many question marks with travel right now...Â
Â
If you also like to sing Christmas music... have you thought about a great Holiday song that you can sing for friends, family - or in a concert? You can't go wrong with a well-known carol. Last year, I did a video on How to sing "O Come, O Come
Emanuel."Â It's a gorgeous song. I also created a "how to" video that helps adults teach their kids how to sing Silent Night. (I teach some harmony, too!)
Â
Today, I offer quick insight about gaining greater control of your voice - a fuller explanation of how straw exercises can improve your singing. It's a simple, short video - but very useful. Have a look.
Â
I wish you great singing!
Barbara
Â
P.S.
I'm creating a free mini-course called, "Take Your Song From Zero to WOW!" If you are interested in being part of the short online course at the end of December, please send me an email here: barbara@barbaralewis.comÂ
I've received requests for a Zoom workshop, too. So if there is enough interest in the "Zero to Wow" course, I will add a free live conference Zoom session for us to talk more about making a song really sing! That will come early in the New Year.
Â
P.S.S. WAIT, THERE'S MORE! I'm also working on a brief guide about how to do Zoom concerts more easily. I've had some experience now. Some successes and some failures :( I'll tell you what I know after a year's worth of efforts. Anyone who is interested, send me an email: barbara@barbaralewis.com. I'll put you on my Zoom-Concert-Setup list.
