Hello Friends and Singers,
Last week's workshop that I attended online, which was given by Kerrie Obert (and presented through Ron Long) was pretty illuminating! It was called "tips and tricks for mixed voice."
Kerrie Obert does solid research on the voice/throat. So her ideas come from good scientific knowledge.
In this video, I give you three ideas (and vocal exercises) that can help with a variety of vocal issues, including a weakish voice and a shaky voice. I also talk about an exercise that Obert had us do (for mixed voice) that I think you will find quite interesting.
It may be hard to measure the results of these exercises. But what I hope is that you will feel a strengthening of your voice. And perhaps, like me, you will become more aware of how
your unique throat works. Try these exercises, but a don't
over-work. Keep a light touch!
I'm always interested in how things are going for you vocally. So be in touch, if you want to share a "vocal" thought!

P.S.
I'm creating a
free mini-course called,
"Take Your Song From Zero to WOW!" If you are interested in being part of the short online course at the end of November, please send me an email here:
barbara@barbaralewis.com I've received
requests for a Zoom workshop, too. So. if there is enough interest in the
"Zero to Wow" course, I will add a free live conference Zoom session for us to talk more about
making a song really sing!
P.S.S.
Also, you might want to consider
this singing event,
Because We Sing! The event will gather renowned experts on choral singing, voice health and more!
