Argh! Those high notes! 

Last week, when I was leading my free vocal warm up for singers over 40 on Zoom, I decided to work on high notes that occur in a leap.
 

Think of the song Chestnuts Roasting... or Somewhere over the rainbow. The opening of both melodies has a full octave leap. Many singers find this a challenge. 

In Today's video,  I talk about this and offer an easy-to-understand exercise to help you with those kinds of leaps and with high notes in general.
