Hello Friends and Singers,
I imagine that at least some of you have thought about writing a song - even if you have not yet done it!
And likely, there are those of you who have written more than one!
I'm in a songwriting mode right now - working on a new concert/show. I want to write a few of my own songs for this show. So I'm seeking inspiration from a variety of sources. Since my concert has a futuristic aspect to it, I'm listening to a couple of audio books. One is The Martian. A great read, but an even better listen (in Audible) with an awesome narrator!
I also look for inspiration from other songwriters. This week, I had the opportunity to interview the Canadian singer/songwriter,
Zandréa Krysha, who is also becoming well known as an actress in film.
For me, writing songs comes in fits and starts. But Zandrea is prolific! She talks about 3 different sources of inspiration in this 7-minute interview. Zandréa is fun and inspiring.
