Hello, - This is a quick note to wish you the best of the Holiday season - whatever your tradition may be. And to thank you for being on my mailing list. FRUSTRATION & JOY - In the past year, I have taken some time off from my
teaching-related work and this Singing Tips With Barbara Lewis Web site in order to spend more time performing and recording. These last few months have been a fascinating and at times, frustrating journey. In the coming weeks, I am going to write about my adventure back into performance. (I stopped performing for many years after my soul-mate husband suddenly died.)
DO YOU WANT TO PERFORM? - I believe that you will find some of the things I have experimented with instructional for your own singing dreams, or at the very
least, entertaining. The music business these days is a wild and rocky ride. You have to shore up your self-esteem in order to keep forging your own path with integrity and energy. In the meantime, I hope you are singing and developing your musical selves in as many ways as possible.
LISTEN! - I'll leave you
with two unusual Christmas songs that I recorded last month with 7 instrumentalists: Somewhere to
Belong & Bethlehem Down See what you think! Your thoughtful comments are welcome here: barbara@barbaralewis.com ONE TO ONE - If you need some one-to-one advice, I am here for you through Skype or in person, if you live near Montreal, Canada.
