Hello Friends and Singers,
Thank you so much for receiving this newsletter!
As I wrote to you last week, each newsletter will relate to a recently posted video on YOUTUBE. You can find all past videos at that link, as well. If you enjoy the videos, please consider subscribing.
It's free.
I post new videos almost every week - usually on Friday. If you have any vocal issues that you would like to see me explore in a video, I welcome your input. I offer both singing tips and lifestyle ideas for "older" singers. So you will find information about how to sing better as you/we age, but also information about back pain, sleep
problems - (I know about sleep problems!) - self-esteem concerns, relieving boredom and more. I will consult with experts in various fields. But I offer this information and advice based on my own journey through life. I sincerely hope that you can learn to sing better and live happier with the help of these videos and blog
postings!
THIS WEEK'S VIDEO!
I recently did an interview with a well-known Canadian singer/songwriter who, after suffering for 7 years, finally recovered from severe depression with the help of music.
It is a very candid, honest and dramatic interview with a man who has also written a book about his journey from darkness back into light. Please take a few minutes to hear his powerful songs (he also talks about his approach to songwriting) and listen to his message of hope.
If you want to be in touch with me, you can do that here: barbaramusic.2011@gmail.com. And if you have an idea for a video about singing that you would like me to consider, please be in touch at that email as well.
NEXT WEEK!
I was asked to do a video about how to hold a long-held note 🎵 without going sharp or flat. This can be a an annoying problem for singers‼️ I'll post that video on Friday and send you an email about it.
We are living through such challenging times. Aside from helping you to sing a little better week to week, I hope also to bring you some diversion and a few smiles, as well. Thanks so much for being in this growing group of singers over 40. Love to you all.
When in doubt, sing!
Barbara
P.S. I am working on a Christmasy video now, too. (I love Christmas!) Coming soon...
