Every week I take some video footage of the view outside our house in the country facing the lake. I like to put that film behind me in some of my singing videos so that you will see a backdrop that is natural and "alive."

Last week, snow was hurtling down on the lake and covering the fallen leaves in the yard. But today, it is HOT outside. People are out on the road in shorts. This is unusual for Montreal in November! 

Today I have two videos for you. One that could have used some snow in the background. The other, about high notes, opens with a video-view from a boat on Lake Titicaca in Peru. I had a nosebleed in that boat because the elevation was so high! 

I hope that one or both of these videos is useful to you! I take a kind of unique approach to working on high notes...

Video 1 - It's not yet Christmas, but I have had requests from several people about this very subject. It's a tricky idea. Because people may need to do this on Zoom with a grandchild. That has it's challenges. But singing together is a powerful way to bond.

It's worth the effort to make it happen!

Video 2 - One of the questions I receive most often after 'How can I deal with a sore throat?" is "How can I sing really high notes better?"
This video is from some time ago. But it answers a vital question for those who are looking for very high notes sung in the head voice. I hope this helps!
