WELCOME!

A Beginning Singer's DREAM STUDIO!

If your interest is in becoming a better singer - a dedicated amateur or a budding professional - NOW is the time to think about assembling the right equipment to create your own DREAM studio.

I remember the excitement I felt when I received my first "good" microphone as a gift for Christmas. I felt that I was entering one of the most exciting careers in singing (singer/songwriter), and that mic symbolized to me the dedication I felt towards becoming really good.
I loved that microphone!

NEXT WEEK! DREAM STUDIO - Part Two
A working studio contains a lot more than musical equipment. After doing a lot of research, I'll tell you about:
- a singing course that I think can help young vocalists learn on their own at home.
- Also, I have suggestions for you about two good books on songwriting.
- Read about helpful music software.
- And explore the power of having your own Web site.

A QUICK SINGING TIP
Some singers feel that simply singing through their
songs makes for a good practice.
Not true. Take the time to:

1. Breathe a little... to calm & centre your body.
2. Do at least a good 10 concentrated minutes of vocal warm-ups to get the muscles of your body & your singer's
mind co-ordinated for singing.
3. Look through your song - find the difficult places. Decide how you will approach those phrases.
 4. Read carefully through the words & find the "feel" for the song. Than make a mental note of the high points or the climaxes. That is...
KNOW YOUR SONG'S ARC...
